"GUY FAWKES' DAY": 5TH NOVEMBER. "DÍA DE GUY FAWKES: 5 DE NOVIEMBRE.

November 5^th is Guy Fawkes´Night. Families make bonfires and have fireworks. They eat hot dogs and drink soup. 

 El día 5 de noviembre es la "Noche de Guy Fawkes". Las familias inglesas hacen hogueras y fuegos artificiales. También, comen perritos calientes y sopa.

Regarding its history, on November 5th, 1605, 13 men conspired to blow up the British Parliament, in an attempt to overthrow (kill) the oppressive King James.  This failed mission is known as the Gunpowder Plot.  The man guarding the gunpowder was named Guy Fawkes.
  
De acuerdo con su historia, el 5 de noviembre de 1605, 13 hombres conspiraron dinamitar el Parlamento Británico. Esta misión resultó fallida conocida posteriormente como "el Complot de la pólvora". El hombre liderando la misión se llamaba Guy Fawkes.

To this day, November 5th is commemorated by British citizens with bonfires and fireworks.  Many people burn 'Guys'or puppet figures on what is currently known as Guy Fawkes Day. As a matter of fact, there's a famous poem about such a day:
